Welcome to Taurus Works Construction Inc. ("Taurus Works," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website and the contracting services we provide. By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
1. Services Overview
Taurus Works Construction Inc. is a general contractor based in Billings, Montana. We provide residential and commercial construction services including but not limited to roofing, siding, window and door replacement, storm damage repair, interior and exterior remodeling, additions, and related contracting work. Our service area primarily covers Billings and surrounding areas within approximately 25 miles, with availability for larger projects up to 120 miles.
2. Estimates & Agreements
All estimates provided by Taurus Works are based on our assessment at the time of inspection. Estimates are subject to change if unforeseen conditions are discovered during the project.
A signed contract or written agreement is required before work begins on any project. The contract will outline the scope of work, materials, timeline, payment terms, and any other relevant details.
Any changes to the agreed scope of work will be documented through a written change order, which must be approved by both parties before additional work is performed.
3. Payment Terms
Payment terms are outlined in each individual project contract. Generally, a deposit of 50% is required before work begins, with the remaining balance due upon project completion.
Accepted payment methods will be specified in your contract. Late payments may be subject to additional fees as outlined in the project agreement.
4. Warranty
Taurus Works Construction Inc. provides a 1-year workmanship warranty on all completed projects. This warranty covers defects in workmanship and does not cover normal wear and tear, damage caused by weather events after project completion, or damage resulting from misuse or neglect.
Manufacturer warranties on materials may also apply and are separate from our workmanship warranty. Details on manufacturer warranties will be provided upon request.
5. Insurance & Licensing
Taurus Works Construction Inc. is fully insured and holds all required contractor registrations for the state of Montana. Proof of insurance is available upon request. We update our coverage as needed for larger projects to ensure full protection for our clients.
6. Project Scheduling & Delays
We make every effort to complete projects on the timeline outlined in the contract. However, project timelines may be affected by weather conditions, material availability, permit processing, or other factors beyond our control.
We will communicate any anticipated delays promptly and work with you to adjust the schedule as needed.
7. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for providing accurate information about their property and project needs. Clients must ensure reasonable access to the work area and communicate any known issues that may affect the project.
Clients are responsible for obtaining any necessary homeowner association (HOA) approvals before work begins. Taurus Works will handle building permits as needed.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Montana law, Taurus Works Construction Inc.'s total liability for any claims arising from our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for the specific project in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
9. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to first attempt resolution through direct communication. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be handled in accordance with Montana state law, with jurisdiction in Yellowstone County, Montana.
